Wellbeing Week: Thankful Thursday
29th May 2025
Today our school community embraced the theme of gratitude with a joyful and reflective Thankful Thursday.
The day began with guided gratitude meditations, helping pupils start their morning with calm minds and thankful hearts. Throughout the day, classes engaged in a range of activities focused on appreciating the people and moments that bring joy to their lives.
A highlight of the day was the visit from Conor Halpin, who delivered a fun-filled Circus Skills Workshop for our 3rd to 6th class students. Laughter and amazement filled the halls as pupils learned juggling, balancing and clowning skills.
Classes enjoyed the uplifting “Thankful Song”, which will become a regular feature in future school assemblies. Students also created thank-you cards and gratitude drawings.
Senior Infants celebrated the joy music being us by using Boom whackers.

Mrs.Cullinan's 2nd class created a 'Thankful Box" where students could add notes about the people, places and things they appreciate most.
Thankful Thursday was a meaningful celebration of positivity, reminding everyone that there’s always something to be grateful for.
