Helping Parents prepare for the next big step

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Is your child in 5th or 6th class and getting ready to move from primary school to post-primary school?

The National Parents Council is here to help!

We’re offering virtual training sessions, during the week of the 10th of November 2025 designed to guide you through this important transition, giving you the tools to support your child with confidence.

What You'll Learn:

Choosing the right school for your child
Preparing your child for post-primary school
Understanding subject choices
School policies
Effective home-school communication
Who you'll meet in post-primary school
Navigating Parent/Teacher meetings

A short presentation by Special Educational Needs Organisers (SENO), who provide support for parents of children with additional needs, will follow all sessions apart from the 10am session on Thursday and 10am on Friday.

Monday 10th - Thursday 13th at 10am and 7.30pm
Friday 14th at 10am
