Letter from Ms Swift

8th Jan 2021

Dear Parents,
I hope you all had a good and safe Christmas. I would like to wish you all a very happy new year.
Like all of you, I am very disappointed that we have found ourselves back where we were in March.
On a positive note though, I am very pleased to tell you that I am so proud of all the children in my
class. They worked so hard since they came into Senior Infants and they made excellent progress last
term. Well done all of you –you are fantastic!
You can contact me through my e-mail dswift@stoliversclonmel.ie with any queries or concerns you
may have.
Just to get us started for this week:
I gave your child their IXL password before Christmas. They told me they had logged in successfully
and I asked them to keep their password in a safe place. Could you please check that they have their
passwords and supervise them logging in today. It would be very valuable if they did one Maths and
one English activity from Junior Infants (to ensure success and that they revise how IXL works).
Work packs will be available for collection on Tuesday. You will receive a text informing you of your
collection time.
I am aware that all of you have so many other commitments and I do not want this school work to
become a burden for you. Therefore, the worksheets will be stapled together according to weeks
e.g. Week 1, Week 2 etc. Please explain to your child that it is not a race to get everything finished!!
I will also enclose a detailed instruction letter for you with the workpack which will explain the
activities for this week.
Going forward – you will receive a text message from the school with a link attached every Monday.
Click on the link for the instructions from me for that week.
Please take a photograph of your child’s work and email it to me when it is convenient and I will
reply to your child by email.
If you cannot find the IXL password please email me and I will attach it to your child’s workpack.
Looking forward to hearing from all the children!
Stay Safe,
Kind Regards,
Ms Swift.
