6th Class Joins the ‘100 Dogs Project’ at Clonmel Junction Festival
22nd May 2025
This week, Ms. Quirke’s 6th class had an amazing experience working with Cork artist Tom Campbell as part of the Clonmel Junction Festival. With Tom’s help, the class created life-size papier-mâché dogs, which will be part of the festival’s brilliant ‘100 Dogs Project.’
The project fits perfectly with this year’s festival theme, ‘Encounters’, bringing schools and the community together to try something new and creative.
You’ll get a chance to see the dogs in action on July 5th, when they’ll be ‘walked’ in a fun parade from the Showgrounds to the Plaza — a great way for the children to show off what they’ve made.
It was a fantastic day full of creativity and fun, topped off with a soggy but happy wait for the Town Bus back to school. A great memory for 6th class to finish off the year!
